Disha Narain
Product Designer and UX Strategist
My name is Disha, and I'm a product designer, UX Strategist, and consultant based in New York City. Born and raised in Dubai with roots in Mumbai, I bring a global respective to problem-solving and design.
Drawing from a background in fine art, sports, teaching, and music, I bring a systems-thinking approach to design—creating interconnected solutions that scale and improve entire product ecosystems. As a strategic partner, I work closely with cross-functional teams to bridge design, business strategy, and engineering. I’m also an accessibility advocate, embedding inclusive practices to make products usable for all, and an experience accelerator, transforming complex requirements into intuitive, user-centered solutions that deliver measurable impact.
My work spans industries including telecommunications, healthcare, fintech, sports investment, public transport, and beyond, resulting in diverse outcomes from prototypes and developed applications to research publications and immersive brand experiences.
(p.s. bonus points if you can tell me my inspiration for mini me!)

sports.
Playing Tennis and Netball, professionally, for the last 10 years has taught me how to make intentional decisions in complicated situations. I worked as a team regularly to iterate through practice and understand the psychology of fellow players under intense competitive conditions.
fine art.
Expressing myself through fine art and creating pieces based on briefs has taught me how to understand working to a prompt but breaking boundaries to unique creations. Creating fine art required a level of precision and perfection - not always in a technical sense, but to understanding how it would be received by an audience, and myself!

music.
Every Saturday morning for 7 years of my childhood was guitar class. Guitar taught me how to accept and adapt to constructive criticism from my teacher on scales, songs and techniques. In design this translates to my ability to embrace and request objective feedback whilst problem solving alongside my peers and managers.
teaching.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach children from various backgrounds. One experience that stood out to me is teaching English at an orphanage in Delhi, India. Conversing with the children and teaching them created a space for them to share ideas. Conversation is the catalyst for creativity which has showed me how important teamwork and brainstorming is.
